Tasi

She gave a pleased look as they all seemed to be doing quite well, with the exception of Verse it seemed. Turning her attention back to Verse, she eyed the leash that attached her to the pole, concern finding it's place again. She gave a subtle hmm as they explained their situation. She considers Shiloh's idea for a second, then speaks up with one of her, "We could also just untie it for her. After all, if her actual owner is ok with her free roaming, I don't see the harm.." With the approach of a new dog, her attention is once again shifted as she spots another spaniel approach. She is immediately fixated on him, eager to see another like her, and even from the farm faction it seemed. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Roman! I'm Tasi! I'm sorry, but I've never met a Cardigan before. Maybe we could help though?"

Verse

Verse looked up at Roman. "Cardigan? I know her! But uh.... not sure where she is if you're lookin' for 'er. I'm Verse." she smiled trying to make up for the fact she was utterly useless for his cause.

Shiloh

Shiloh looked to the new male and nodded in greeting "I'm called Shiloh..i don't believe we have met before...Roman...Correct?... I am unsure of this...Cardigan..never heard the name before but luckily it seems there are allies who know of her.." he then looks to Verse "may I?" as he motions his head to her leash.

Verse

"Yes please!" Verse smiled happy to see he was willing to untie her. Honestly, she didn't care if Val came out to see she had left. She's done it once before with Jasper and it turned out fine!

Dutch

Dutch nodded with the female spaniel's statements but his gaze snapped back to a different spaniel? Roman. He sat back on his haunches once more, thinking of Verse's leash and if it would be forgotten again. Poor terrier. "I've never met Cardigan either." Curious. "Why are you look for them?"

Merlin

"I'm so happy to meet you all!" He got up, unable to keep still any longer as he looked between all the faces. "Symbol? Well Shiloh is fine! And my master was taken by the terrible howling beast," his tail stopped wagging now but he continued to smile happily. "I don't know- I..." He stopped, still smiling before abruptly deciding to ignore the question. It was making him sad and if that dog was going to ruin his mood Merlin would be very annoyed. "Oh! Hello!' He began to wag his tail furiously again, hopping another like an over excited puppy. "We can help find her?"

Megan

The small dogs ears perked at the name of Cardigan. She peered around the corner to see what the commotion was about. Another spaniel, Verse, and a few others. She let out a low growl before shaking herself, loosening her limbs again. Her heart started to race at the thought of the recent disturbing announcement that had been made. She needed to see Cardigan about this, she was so conflicted and confused - mainly taking her anger out on rats that crossed her path every time she thought of her past. Her scarred muzzle reminded her constantly.

Shiloh

Shiloh then walked over and he used his teeth with hsi paws on the pole and he gets her free after a few minutes of slwoly untnagling the leash from the pole "there ya go lass..sorry it took so long..i would normally try to chew the leash but i highly doubt your Mans would approve of a chewed up leash.." he then sits down real quick and scratches at the scars on his face.

Verse

"Thanks." Verse eyed her leash and started to try and grab at the latch hooking it to her collar. She couldn't run around with her leash still hooked to her after all. That'd look silly!

Tasi

Agreeing with them all, she gives a nod as they all offer up help to Roman. But the reason to know why he was searching for the dog did cross her mind, so she was happy when Dutch asked. Hearing Shiloh as well, she was also quite relieved to hear them offer to take care of the leash that held Verse. She patiently waits to see what happens next when another dog approaches around the corner. While the dog may not have been up for it, Tasi leaps up to go and meet them. "Hey there! I'm so happy to see you again too.. you!" She realizes then that she had never actually learned their name.

Verse

Verse looked up from her leash looking for who Tasi was talking too. "Megan!" Verse smiled seeing the dog.

Shiloh

Shiloh tries to help verse with the latch careful not to smack hsi tail against the black and red hound whom he didn't catch the name of. "hold on lass..we'll get it off"he said witha chuckle seeing ehr try to do it herself and it was amusing, when Verse looked and saw the other dog he took it as a chnace to get the latch undone.

Megan

Megan snorted as she watched them. That's one thing she didn't miss about being a pet, leashes and collars. She could enjoy living without one. Her stomach let out a loud growl as she lifted herself onto her paws once again "Oh it's you farm dog." she sighed softly, remembering the strong silage scent she carried. "What's with you and tangling things up Verse?" she rolled her eyes, remembering her last encounter with the canine.

Verse

Verse laughed. "Agh this wasn't me it was Val." She lifted her head higher so Shiloh could unhook the leash. "Honestly I wish Taylor would leave her." she frowned.

Roman

The spaniel looked at the mixture of dogs curiously, his brown strained green eyes trying to figure out all the breeds and to ensure they won't be dogs that would harm the terrier mix. His paws brushed against the dusty concrete as he moved a few steps closer, still unsure if he should trust their words to be that of the truth or of that of lies, just to get close to the terrier to harm her.
''I am offering myself as a guard to Cardigan, her life is at risk due to the stupidity of this Fred dog. He sounds like he ate bad meat and it got to his brain, and allowed the hallucinations to cloud his thoughts.'' Roman said, he was not one to sugar coat his words and did not care if any of the dogs here liked this Fred. He was a moronic, thick headed drifter with his brain full of delusions.

He watched as Shiloh help remove the leash, perking his interest a little bit at his technique. ''I also need to ensure you actually know Cardigan, and not just her name.'' Muddy green eyes narrowed, while they seemed genuine, it could all be an act. He would not allow any of them to potentially harm the blind terrier, he would rather that harm happen to himself than her.

Verse

"I meet her! She's a real nice dog, blind." Verse winced thinking about when the dog had crossed eyes during their meeting.

Merlin

"Oh, you again! Thank you for helping out last time" he was beaming still, doing the occasional circle or pacing. His heavy breathing nearly stopped him from hearing what the taller dog had to say but nevertheless he was up for it all the way. He vigorously nodded, having no clue who this Cardigan was but he wanted to meet her. New friends. He began to pant to try get rid of his excited huffing, eyes darting to all the faces quickly. This sounded so fun .

Megan

"As a guard?" she laughed at the other spaniel, almost rolling onto the floor in tears. Her stomach ached with laughter as small tears rolled down her cheek. She took in a deep breath before clearing her throat to speak once again "Don't you think it'll make Cardigan feel weak having a guard with her?" she pointed out.

Tasi

Deciding to play along with a bit of banter, hoping maybe this would cheer her up a bit, she causally responds, "Same to you street dog." It becomes clear that they already know Verse, and through that, she then learn's Megan's name. Turning around, she takes notice of Verse who is now free from the leash, then listens as she explains her knowledge of Cardigan to Roman. 'I've never met a blind dog before...' She intently awaits Roman's next words, wanting to know all she can on the news of this Fred dog

Dutch

Bobbing his head, Dutch agreed that Fred probably had worms in his head, or at least someone knocked his sharp featured head against the concrete. Something WAS wrong with him for certain. "Noble of you, spaniel." The male couldn't provide any information on Cardigan but felt the need to question this dog; what are his motives? He lowered his head and whispered to Merlin; "Mer." he waited for him to settle a bit. "Help with what?" Dutch kept one ear on the Collie and one on the rest of the dogs; something was happening here. Something important.

Merlin

"We're going to help this gentleman find this Cardigan dog" he whispered back loudly, panting around his words.

Dutch

"Do you know this gentleman?" Merlin's breath wasn't as bad as he thought it would be as he blew Dutch's cover, his ears flattened out even more than anyone would think possible. Ugh.. Mer.

Merlin

"Never met him!" He responded back enthusiastically, ears perked towards the hound

Shiloh

Shiloh sta bakc down on his haunches with the leash taken care off and he sees the female, "ahhh...good day lass..." he watches everyone interactions and can tell that some were on friendly terms..others were not..was it a result of the 'war' or just of personal reasons?

Roman

A growl built up in the Spaniel's throat, as he shot a glare at the shorter spaniel. ''While it's reassuring that you know of her, it's clear you have worms in your brain. She is blind, small- while she can protect herself but not against a horde of strays that have been brainwashed by this Fred. Do you think they are going to just allow her to walk freely down streets? No. They have Valentine on their side, he's a murder- he murdered his human. I refuse to allow these dogs with poisoned minds near her.'' The liver and white male snapped, shaking his head in disbelief. Maybe it was his heart acting out, speaking for him and not his brain but he did not care. ''I assume most aside from a few here are Pets? Did you not attend her meeting where this was brought up?'' Roman was surprised, did these pets really not know- or at least some, did not know of the dangers the drifters posed on them?
His fur settled down. ''Her life is no joking matter, and nor is the threat the drifters who follow Fred pose on the pets faction.'' Roman frowned at Megan, her laughter was not something he approved of, but perhaps it was just her nature to laugh at the seriousness of things?

Verse

Verse furrowed her brow at Roman a frown replacing her smile. "Uhhuh? And what are you gonna do?"

Shiloh

Shilho looked to the spanial ina clam yet serious manner, not showing hsi youth, "good sir..i have not heard of such a meeting, i am from the Farm faction..while we are all, well any with a Man..are pets..i have not heard of such a meeting" he then looks to everyone to see their responses.

Tasi

Looking out of the corner of her eye, she spots Dutch lean over to whisper something in Merlin's ear. His response being louder than Dutch had probably intended, she gives a good guess as to what is was, and gives a small smile at their flattening ears. As they try again, she cant help but laugh a bit at they even worse result. finding it a bit funny in this situation.
A strike of fear goes through as Roman starts talking. Wow, this may have been worse than she thought. "I didn't come here to meet her personally, but I did come here to check things out and see if I could offer any help to anyone in need of it on both side of this." Looking over to Verse, she then says, "If we all think like that, nothing is going to change." Her usual cheery persona is gone, replaced with a more serious understanding of the situation.

Megan

"I don't know if you've noticed lover boy but I'm a stray," she said bluntly "Most of you pets don't even see the real deal that happens out here and why most of us are out here." the small spaniel continued. She glared at the taller canine with her deep brown eyes, giving a low growl as her fur at the back of her neck stuck up a little - feeling somewhat threatened by his comment. Her scar ached at the memory of her past, almost whining. Megan settled her haunches right next to the other spaniel as she puffed her milky brown chest up a little.

Dutch

Dutch shook his head; "Simmer down there, Speckles." He gave up a fake chuckle to mask his irritation with the male spaniel. If he's so serious about the Drifters, maybe he should be a bit quieter. The male's deep red-brown eyes rolled lightly at his tone. "Everyone is taking this seriously; you're just up twenty notches." What meeting though.. I haven't been out of town long.

Shiloh

Shiloh sighed and with a body shake, his fur swaying with the motion of his body, he spoke softly but enough for everyone to hear "In the End,no matter the result of this War..we're all dogs..and we may lose many lvoed ones because of this..but we are all the same..no mater our places in life.."

Cardigan

It had taken ages, but finally, Cardigan had managed to gather some alone time. The moment the Farmstead caught wind of the war, Patagonia had marched over and demanded she stay confined to her small town house. Luckily for Cardigan, however, the beagle was quite the sleeper, and as soon as she'd closed her eyes, the Executive was gone.
Her plan was to check the streets and make sure everyone was alright. Though she hoped there wouldn't be much trouble, she'd yet to make it three blocks before coming across a pack of dogs -- and wouldn't ya know it, they were talking about her.
"Pardon?" She began, recognizing the voices of quite a few dogs. "Is something wrong? Why are there so many dogs about at this moment?"

Verse

"Oh hey Cardigan." Verse's previous distaste washed away as she smiled at the Executive.

Shiloh

Shiloh heard a sweet voice come out and he looks and spots a small, tiny white and blue piebald dog. He hears Verse state her name and thinks "Ahh so this lass is Cardigan..she looks very elegant..seems to fit her role i'm assuming' he then clears his throat "ahh lass..i believe one of these fine dogs was looking for you."

Roman

Roman narrowed his eyes at Megan. ''If you consider yourself her friend, then you should take her safety more serious. I can assure you, I have dealt with more tough creatures than you, sweetcheeks.'' He smirked, rolling his muddy eyes before looking over at the Bloodhound, tilting his head. He inhaled deeply, allowing the air to settle his nerves which were growing strained by the minute. Clearing his throat, the spaniel looked at Dutch. ''I can assure you, me being like this isn't just because I am looking for a fight. I want to protect a friend, clearly unlike this female.'' He shot a glance at Megan, before the sound of a familiar voice caught the spaniel off guard.
''Cardigan? Where is Patagonia, why isn't she with you?'' He asked, surprised as he stepped away from the group of dogs and towards her. His chest tightened as he glanced around them looking around for any of Fred's little minions, any dogs who were out of place, staring Cardigan up and trying to get closer. His muddy green eyes taking in her appearance. She was not hurt, at all, looked more shocked at the sound of all the dogs than anything else. It took him all his strength not to wag his tail at the sight of her, keeping his composure as he looked back at the other dogs.
''I came here from Farmstead to talk to you, I have something I need to talk to you about.'' Any surprise having left his voice, and the serious tone gripping his voice once again as his gaze fell back on the blue piebald Executive once again.

Tasi

Tasi was starting to feel slight bit of discomfort with all of the tension starting to build up, particularity between Roman and Dutch. It seemed that with more often meetings with others, she was starting to come in touch with a slight more sharp tongued side. Stepping up, she then says, direction her words mainly to the two males, "Look, there's already enough fighting going around and we don't need to add to it. If you ask me, you two seem to be with the same agreement, so just take a step back for a sec before things go out of hand." She gives a sharp look to them both. then sits, daring them to make a violent move.
Peeking around, she looks to see where the new voice comes, and her gaze immediately goes to the new dogs eyes. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the dog ya'll are looking for." Then to the small dog, she says, "Hey there, the names Tasi!"

Merlin

New. Friend. He leaped into the air with little to go grace, bounding over to the, frankly, teeny dog. His light eyes positively shined as he bounced over, each jump a little higher as if he was leaping through invisible grass. "Cardigan! Cardigan! You must be cardigan. Hello, hi, hey we found you." He inhaled deeply and took the sight of her in before whipping around to shout "Roman! Lookie, we found her!"

Megan

Megan let out a loud growl at the nickname sweetcheeks before opening her mouth to reply. However her chance was blown as everyones attention turned to the small mutt behind them. Cardigan. Her ears perked before she turned away and lowered her head "Hey Cardi..." she said softly, clearing her throat slightly. Megan watched at the group slowly shifted towards Cardigan, leaving Megan sat on her haunches alone.

Dutch

Dutch's rear swung out again as the dog referred to as Cardigan made her appearance and self known; listening to the two dogs make their case. Stop momming me Tas. Padding forward with the pack, he watched Merlin go bounding toward the piebald dog, he realised quickly that she was probably blind as she did not rear or dodge the merle collie.

Verse

Verse walked beside Dutch as he was the only other pet, besides Cardigan.

Cardigan

The constant noise of dogs moving around and the onslaught of remarks was quite overwhelming for the blind dog, and she couldn't for the life of her figure out what was going on. "Erm, hello Verse, Roman, Megan, and everyone else." Sure she'd given speeches before, but this was downright awkward. She couldn't see, but she could feel everyone's eyes on her. And then a new word caught her attention: fighting.
"Fighting!?" Cardigan asked incredulously. "Surely there isn't any fighting going on! This is no time for that." And then she remembered that Megan was, in fact, stray. "Megan, is everything alright? What's going on?"

Verse

"Only Verbulay. We were very proper about it." Verse chuckled tilting her head.

Merlin

Merlin was, like, so happy. He gasped for air and jumped and shook on the spot, tail a blur behind him. He backed up to give the blind dog space once he noticed her discomfort but otherwise intruded on everyone else's. He elected to ignore all talk of fight and instead gazed happily up at Roman, expecting something to be said about his finding skills. He was a good boy, right?

Dutch

Dutch leaned down and snicker-whispered to Verse; "Speckles."

Megan

She coughed slightly "Yeah...just lover boy here thinks he should protect you." She shot a glance at the spaniel, giving a slight smile towards him. Her haunches lifted as she padded towards the small canine, nuzzling her slightly. She let out a heavy sigh as she inhaled Cardigans scent. "How've you been then?" she asked nervously, wondering if she'd treat her differently due to her being a stray after the disturbing news.

Verse

Verse held a paw over her mouth as she snorted at Dutch's insult for Roman.

Roman

Roman glanced at Dutch. ''Big boy, your whispers aren't as quiet as you think. Might want to get your hearing checked out.'' He narrowed his muddy eyes, before moving over to Cardigan, his movement swift and collected as he moved away from the horde of dogs. It was getting stuffy and quite frankly, this gang of dogs didn't interest him anymore. They even bored him..but he still had a mission to complete, and he would not allow their snarky comments to best him.
Glaring at Megan, he looked down at the blind terrier. ''As Megan commented, I came here to offer myself as a guard. I heard from friends about Fred's plot, even though I haven't even spotted the coward so he is more talk than action and has his minions attacking. I would rather speak with you in private, instead of in front of this ever growing crowd, Cardi.'' He flicked an ear, glancing back from the terrier to the mixture of dogs, flashing them a quick amused smile, but there was faint irritation in his eyes. His fur settling down again, taking deep breaths to calm himself.

Verse

Verse became determined to stay and hear this.

Beanie

What the hell? Why are all these dogs around Cardigan? Where did they all come from? Beanie had been itching to talk with her half-sister and hang out, but was disappointed to find she hadn't come outside. The young stray's sensitive nose did manage to catch a faint, yet relatively fresh smelling trail of the blind mutt that led her to her current location. As she strode over, her fangs instinctively flared. These dogs better not be bothering her She thought as she marched over. Her eyes darted around at the other canines, and soon felt herself relax as she recognized the majority of the bunch. "Hey, what's going on?"

Verse

"OH hey Beanie! Speckles over here sent us on a mission to find Cardigan." Verse smiled So many familiar faces.

Merlin

Oh. He was busy. That was fine, the speckled dog was clearly enjoying Merlins great finding skills and maybe he is taking her aside to discuss? He blinked, tail wagging and smile large when he heard a familiar voice. Hat dog!

Dutch

Not knowing Cardigan that well, or any of these dogs really, Dutch spoke up. "I don't think you should go anywhere with him, miss." Secrecy was an irritant to the male, if it couldn't be shared with everyone, it shouldn't be shared. He lowered his head out to the bull terrier mix, slightly. "If he can't keep his cool, I don't think he's much of a good guard." Hot heads were never good in positions that high; it was one thing to be passionate but this one seemed rash. "Just being objective, as you want to be."

Megan

Megan perked her ears up slightly and glared towards Roman before her attention turned to the small weenie dog approaching the pack of dogs. The pack was growing and Megan didn't like being in a crowded place for long, she began to feel irritated and needed to move to somewhere else - with or without the pack. "Fred isn't that bad..." she muttered to herself, lowering her head a little before turning away from the group.
